Hi, my name is Wendy and I am the owner and founder of Vintage Sweetheart Designs. We are a small business located in Pottsville in the anthracite coal region in Pennsylvania We restore, and paint forgotten, unwanted furniture and home decor to give it a new life

The Sweethearts and Painting

I call myself the founder, but I refer to my husband Bob as the CEO (“Carries Everything Out”) of the company. He is really the person who makes my visions come to life by repairing- all of the old broken- down “treasures” that I bring home.

Initially this was something that we did out of necessity. As a young couple, we simply couldn't justify buying new furniture for our home; we upcycled items before it was the “thing” to do. Like many homeowners, we did what we needed to do to fill up your empty house with quality furniture- from hand me downs to yard sale finds.

Inspiration and Medium

As far back as I can remember I have always seen furniture being painted. My mother was an artist who specialized in portrait painting and landscapes. If she wanted something new, she would create it with a bit of paint. Landscape murals filled the walls in our childhood home. With that background, I was never afraid to paint anything-especially not furniture, and when I discovered Fusion Mineral Paint, I was hooked. Deciding to sell Fusion products was the natural next step for us as it is what we use exclusively- it is what we love!

I love to teach and inspire others to paint and restore their own furniture with Fusion Mineral Paint products. I am honored that you have taken the time to read our humble story, and I hope that we can help bring your visions to life.
